UI/UX Designer | Jalpha Health Tech | Digital Health Solutions

Company Overview
Jalpha Health is a fast growing health tech startup dedicated to digital transformation of hospitals in Africa. We provide comprehensive digital solutions that enable healthcare providers transition from paper-based to digital health systems with a focus on improving patient care, healthcare access, and operational efficiency.

Role Description
To lead the design and enhancement of user interfaces across our digital health platforms, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and efficient experiences for healthcare providers and administrators in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and prototype user interfaces for our healthcare management platforms and mobile applications
2. Conduct user research and testing to understand healthcare providers’ needs and behaviors
3. Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and improvements
4. Collaborate with development team to ensure proper implementation of design specifications
5. Develop and maintain design system documentation and UI component library
6. Optimize user interfaces for both web and mobile platforms
7. Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and are appropriate for diverse user groups

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in UI/UX design, preferably in healthcare or enterprise software
• Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design approach
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first principles
• Knowledge of usability principles and accessibility standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of healthcare workflows is a plus
